High Standard .22 Ammo

Post by cochese598 »

I would like to get some feedback from folks that have or do shoot the older High Standards on what type of ammo works best for them. I am new to shooting a Victor High Standard and love it, however I have had some feeding problems from time to time. I have come to learn that this gun can be tempermental with certain types of ammo and am trying to narrow down my options. Thanks

High Standard .22 Ammo

I have a High Standard Supermatic Trophy I bought in 1975 and have shot it a lot in bullseye. The gun will shoot most any ammo provided I adjust the magazines. I even got several after market mags to work by patiently adjusting them. I was shooting Aguila SP and rarely had a jam but I cleaned the gun after every match. Here is a link to instructions on magazine adjustments. Good luck.
