Hello all, I'm new here from Atlanta. I recently purchased a Beeman RS2 it came with a 4x32 scope. I'm running into all sorts of problems.. Not sure if I made a smart buying decision as I made an impulse purchase.
The scope mount doesn't fit in flush and its at a weird angle and shows a gap. I'm guessing though that as long as you sight it in it and the scope is on tight it shouldn't matter?
How far am I supposed to be when I'm sighting in?
When I feel like I sighted it in and shoot around, sometimes its accurate consistently and sometimes its off consistently. For example I can hit a golf ball at 25 yards 3 times in a row. When I move up to 35 yards I miss to the left consistently. Is this human error or the gun itself? I've tried to minimize error by resting the gun on a firm sofa piece.
If I were to upgrade the scope and mounts would this help? Can someone suggest a few well priced(Less than $50) scopes that will fit on my gun? I want to shoot 100 yards accurately. Maybe I should make a rifle rest first?

Do a visual inspection of barrel and scope alignment, it will be out of alignment, and thus you can only zero it for a fixed distance.
Take a look here to se what happens as you move for or back from the target, look at the image on the fifth post. Hope it helps.
