Front sight for single action revolver

Post by Guest »

Greetings all,
Just some free thinking. Wondering along the lines of the Elmer Keith No.5 Revolver (see link)http://www.bowenclassicarms.com/NEW/Hphphp0a.htm
Its target front sight is "probably" a target barrel and sight cut bored and soft soldered onto a new barrel.
Sooo I was wondering if a MCM Margolin front sight and its housing (see link) http://www.baikalinc.ru/res_en/0_value_10657_204.jpg
was removable from the barrel, and if it could be had?
Thanks for your thoughts and input.

I thought single action was shot from the hip- no need for sights.

Or there is a 4 position adjustable foresight as used on the S+W 686.
