Bolt for an 1813 action - where to find one

Post by an1913t »

Where can I get a bolt for an 1813 action and will a 1913 bolt work?

Thanks.

Yes, both the 1813 and 1913 have the same 5018 model trigger. However I wouldn't just grab any old 1913 (or 1907/1911 etc) bolt, as there will be no guarantee that the headsapce would be correct. I'd want a gunsmith with several bolts and a set of headspace gauges.

Once I saw an anschutz bolt for sale and bought it figuring there are probably some boltless rifles floating around. I was right I found one and pretty cheap too. I have since bought another bolt and again found a cheap boltless rifle to put it in. Actually they were barreled actions that I rebarreled. Anyway, if you are looking for a used bolt I doubt you will find one. They are very uncommon. I watch and have found two in 10-12 years. Probably best to call one of the anschutz service providers.
