Yes it is this week, but as it is not an ISSF supervised meeting and being held under the auspices of the DSB I don't think we will learn much about what the ISSF intention was.

I've just heard that, unsurprisingly in light of the German rules, they are checking cylinders.

I can't answer that Fred but I would doubt it. Most people shooting at that match will have heard of the failures at Munich in January.

I was with one of our English shooters yesterday and we made sure that he had plenty of "under 10" cylinders with him. The fact that he has a Morini, who are still sticking by their 20 years, would not have exempted him from the German rules.

To my knowledge, this is not true. DSB is honoring Morini's 20 year certification.

I stand corrected; thanks Scott. As it was he was well prepared for a 10 year limit if it had applied.

It doesn't (now that Scott has clarified the DSB position in Germany).

Morini are not members of JSM, a group of manufacturers including Steyr, Walther, Hammerli, Feinwerkbau, Rohm, Anschutz and Weihrauch.

They are the people who have stated that their compressed air cylinders should not be used beyond 10 years.
