I am having problems with my rear sight. I quit shooting small bore ten years ago to devote my full time to military sniping. At that time I was shooting 585-587.
Now Iam back with my Anschutz rifle and have some rear sight problems. The front sight is well defined and I can focus clearly on it. But the rear is oval vertically and fuzzy. That makes my cheek location very critical.
I have some 0,25 astigmatism on my left eye and two small born cataracts on both eyes out from the line of the pupil. My eyesignt is checked every year and it very good for my 47 years old. 1,25 and 1,75.
The rear sight abberration has alwasy been that way but ten years ago I could see a round rear sight with a small cut on the top, that still allowed me to get the concentricity needed to shoot.
My forum seach has given me some possible solutions. I will try to get my eye brows cut down as it seems that it can be part of the problem but I dont feel like I am shooting that close to them .
So I will try to contact Dr. Wong to have a trustable optometrist that knows shooting and that can make new glases for me.
Thanks
Ed
