New Range At Palmyra PA
Posted: Fri Dec 24, 2004 2:44 pm
Greeting fellow boardies. I know this range will be far away in PA for many of you but Erin Gestl like his family carries on the Gestl tradition of unselfish dedication to the sport of smallbore shooting. Erin and his Father Ernie have not only taught all of their juniors to be fine shooters (you would immediately recognize some of their names) but fine human beings as well. I am buying a firing point and would ask that any of you in a position to help do so. Yours Truely In The Shooting Sports -Chris Dunphy

Chris,
The range at Palmyra has been approved by the board and the
membership. The size of the range will be limited by its location
(probably 20-24 firing points) but will be very similar to North End. We
will be breaking ground probably within a month. We have the money for the
excavation and then some extra. I hope to come up with money for the
cover/concrete by February through some grants, selling firing points,
business donations, etc., so that we can have it completed for use this
summer. Could you pass this along to the people on the Pennsylvania
smallbore website. As I mentioned, the firing points will be going for
$200. I will be taking names, addresses, and phone numbers. We are also
looking into selling bricks with people's names on for a price of $20-25
for those looking in this price range. Right now I need to get this
information out there. Thanks,
Erin
