Does anyone have any info on the walther LGM1 side lever air rifle, problems thing to watch for etc

The Walther LGM1? I am sorry, but I do not know that one. But I have used extensively the old LGR compressed air side "spanner". But that is more than two decades back.

The LGR (could it be the predesessor of the LGM1?) was a moderately reliable air rifle. It had, however, no effective compensator, and so the muzzle flip was disturbing, and that made it a bit difficult to shoot well.

There was reported som problems with leaking valves of the pressure chamber of this rifle, as with the pistol counterpart (under-spanner).

The Walther LGR was "defeated" by the FWB 300 match series, which incorporated the now abandoned sliding-rail recoil "reducing" system. It was a bit odd, but it reduced muzzle flip markedly.

My LGR was extremely reliable for the 12 years I shot it. Only drawback was the effort of cocking it, which when I wasn't practicing regularly, got to be too much of an effort for me. Decently recoiless, easy to replace seals.

To the original question, could you be refering to the LGR-CM ? Which is the same LGR model with an adjustable checkpiece.
