Hammerli 106

I wonder if any Free Pistol shooters still have a Hammerli 106 free pistol.
I am having a problem with the striking spring, catalogue number 1160A.
I have had a couple of them break - a hairline crack just where the screw fits. They have all had the same problem, and I have had to replace 2 in the last 3 years.
Can anyone advise me as to what may be the problem?
I wonder if it is due to not enough tension on the retaining screw, or whether it needs a washer. Or is it the wrong type of spring? Maybe they are for a model 104. which has slight lip on the end.
I would appreciate anything you can tell me about it.
I have had the pistol for the last 30 years (or so), and I am very happy with it - except for this recurring problem, and the difficulty in getting spare parts for it.
