Steyr takes GOLD and SILVER in Mens Air Pistol

I knew Yifu had recently gone back to Steyr, (shooting an LP1- my personal favorite!) after an 8 year hiatus, he left Steyr because of that disastorous 10th shot in the 1996 Olympics. I was'nt for sure what Mikhail would be shooting, since he has done quite well with the Benelli Kite in recent matches, although he was telling everyone that he would shoot the Steyr LP10 in the one match that really counted.

looks like a Walther LP300 in Bronze medalist's hands

Hmmm....might be hard to justify trading in my LP-1P for an LP-10 now...

brands of the air pistols in olimpics

Pilkguns:
Are you sure the pistol of the first place is a steyr?
for the form of the barrel I find that was another mark.
the counterbalance of the end of the cylinder confuses me.

That's a standard LP1/LP5 additional weight. Although it surrounds the cylinder it is actually clamped to the barrel shroud. They used to also make a half size weight but I believe they stopped making it in the late 90s.

We sold a few of the Steyr LP10 Gold commerating their Gold medals last year at the World Cups, I think we sold 10 or 12 of them,

Yifu was using a Morini in the last few years, including at the Sydney Olympics
