I just found out that some of the pins used in the IZHs have a slight taper (intentional or not).
Some of you have tried to remove the pin for the stock mag release button to replace it with a DJ Precision (www.djprecision.com/) bottom mag release for use with the Walther KSP-200 or Morini IJ-35M grip (RH and LH - you can make a LH IZH). These pins stick up on one side and are flush on the other, and are usually removed with quite a bit of difficulty by hammering on the side that is sticking up. We recently had better results by driving it out from the flush side - the pin had a slight taper.
If you are having a hard time removing a pin from an IZH you may just want to give it a try from the other side.
