I don't think that's it.
I think it does have transmission fluid in it, but it is not a solvent. I think it has STP oil treatment in it. It's used mainly to lubricate bullseye 1911s.

The listed link does have what you're looking for-kinda. In the gun oil substitutes it is listed as "slick stuff". However, the old recipe was 2 parts ATF, 1 part mobile-one synthetic, and one part Marvel Mystery Oil (a top-valve oil additive for higher mileage vehicles similar to the STP valve stuff)... This is what we used on the USAF pistol team, early 90's era.
