Does anyone know how many P240's were produced in each caliber?

Re: P240
I don't have an answer to your quetion although I know they were produced in .22LR, 32S&W LWC and 38 Special with a common frame.
I have the 32 version. I tried to obtain the 22 conversion from Hammerli some years ago but they are long since out of production and Hammerli no longer carry spares.
I live in South Africa and I am curious to know what price a mint condition 32 P240 would fetch in the US.
In my part of the world there is very little demand any more for ISSF target pisols and although they are scarce they fetch ridiculously low prices. I know of someone who recently bought a 208 for R2500. (Thats under US$400).

Re: P240
I'm not sure even Haemmerli could answer your question. As the highest serial number on a 240 I've ever seen was in the 208'xxx, I'd guess that about 8000-8500 frames were made. Probably double that number for the systems, as most buyers got more than one caliber. The .38 is very common among the early numbers, but very rare after 202'000 (I think) because they never (until today) solved the barrel problem and let the production run out in favor of the .32. Some people say that the .32 version is just a snapshot to replace the malfunctioning .38. On the other hand, I have .32 prototype with a number in the 75'xxx, which is a P210 number, so they must have thought about the .32 before the gun came on the market. So I'd make that about 7'000 .22 systems, 5'000 .32 and 4'000 .38, but that is just a wild ass guess. Why would you care?
