50m smallbore rifle front sight size, M18 and M22 Which one do you use a lot?
And are there advantages and disadvantages of M18 and M22?

Re: 50m smallbore rifle Front sight size M18 M22
I use an M22, and have done for nearly twenty years. I have a sight extension tube on my barrel, sight radius 40in/1m, and the M22 tunnel gives a good sight picture: the balance of the foresight in the rearsight, and the tunnel around the aperture works for me.
At a shorter sight radius, say the 32-33in/80cm of an Anschutz 1913, I don't think the difference is so pronounced. An M22 tunnel will be slightly brighter than an M18, but will take up more of the aperture, and the forsight ring will seem smaller inside.
Also, an M22 is taller than an M18. This might not matter if you only shoot 50m, but some rearsights may need a 4mm raiser to zero at 100 yds after swapping to an M22 tunnel.
