Toz 35 Problem

Post by Swoffer »

I have had the grip on and off my Toz a number of times to remove a bit of wood and now it will only cock and fire in what seems to be dry fire mode i.e. light strike/click. I have the same issue with the grip on or off. I have tried everything and it will fire with a heavy strike occasionally but most of the time just a click. I replaced the firing pin spring recently and it has worked fine since then. I have adjusted the sear as per the 10P files (all the way in, cock and back out until it fires and then a quarter more turn. I have tried adjusting the trigger weight but no help. I am at a loss as to what to do next and would appreciate any giudance.

Does the lever pull the firing pin all the way back and hold it back? Or does the firing pin ride forward when you close the cocking lever?

Took the left hand side grip off and can see the firing pin move all the way back. I'm wondering if the grip is interfering with the lever under the grip moving far enough back to cock the pistol. Will experiment with this as it is cocking ok with the grip off now. Thanks for pointing that out.

It may be the screw in front of the trigger guard. I had a similar issue and it was unscrewed all the way according to the gumsmith.
