Pardini HP/SP conversion Kit

Post by alby800 »

Hi, I have the Pardini HP, and it has been set up as 22 since I bought it.

I cannot for the life of me remember where the parts are for it, other than the 32 barrel.

My question is. When I change from 22 to 32 and vice versa, can I use the same guide rod and guide rod spring for either 22/32?

Or are these unique to the barrel?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. What confused me is the different part number here on SP (716) and HP (816):

Greetings,

The recoil springs are different.

The 32 spring has larger diameter wire and is shorter than the 22 spring.

Cheers,

Pardini over stresses their springs. They will shorten by quite a few mm just from use. The only accurate way to compare them is to count the number of turns, and accurately measure the wire size. A caliper isn't really good enough for that. You need to use a micrometer, and support the inside with a snug fitting drill shank. Measure the drill diameter, and then the OD of the spring on the drill. Take the difference & divide by two to get the wire diameter.

Awesome, thanks. That makes sense because I did find the shorter guide rod. So that must be for the 32.

I was surprised I couldn't find a single Youtube video of how how swap barrels. Maybe I will make one one of these days to help people like me :D

Let me be more precise: I've been told by an armurer that they were the same. Maybe they are interchangeable ?

"can you tell me the clicks of rear sight adjustments?"
Rear sight adjustments will depend on your point of aim and the ammo you shoot.
Start by marking the rear sight with reference marks.
A drill mark, engraving mark or white paint dot will do.
I use the rear sight sight "full down" and "full left", note clicks per turn, this is your starting point.
Make a drawing of the sight screw reference position/angle in your range book.
Then is your shooting book note the sight settings for each disiplain, ammo and lighting.
Set the sight before each match to the book recorded settings, re-check the settings at the
end of each match an take notes.
