LP50 Trigger Stuck

Post by lyoke3 »

I was attempting to remove the trigger unit following the directions on the youtube video and manual from Steyr. In the video the trigger unit drops right out when the two screws are removed. It feels like it gets hung up or caught on the way out. It is only moving about 10-20% of the way out of the pistol and won't drop lower.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something?

No experience with this particular model but generally one needs to make sure the trigger isn't cocked, and that the bolt/slide is located in a certain position (ie partially open) so as not to cause interference.

Thank you. It has very little movement when it is not cocked. When it is cocked back it has a little bit more movement to get the trigger back into place.

It feels like there is a lip or edge that it is getting caught on.

Then probably an email to Steyr will help? Maybe they can point out the part on the exploded view (https://steyr-sport.com/de/downloads-lu ... mpact/file) that could be in the way?

Good luck!
