I wasn't shooting for score but when using my SCATT tonight, it was my first time shooting 60 shots in a row and having them all be at least an 8.

Very nice! BTW, I consider every day above ground to be a milestone......;-)

One or 2 clicks up and right would have produced even a better result. The weighted average of your group is clearly low and left.

I agree that a sight adjustment is probably in order, but I think only a vertical adjustment is needed. Assuming Pirate John is right handed, the smear of shots low & left strongly suggests a triggering issue. If that can be eliminated, I think the group will be OK laterally.

It doesn't take much extra aggression with the trigger squeeze to pull shots down & left a ring (or two).

The few shots off to the right may be from thumb pressure. There is absolutely NO need to apply ANY pressure to the side of the pistol with the thumb. The most consistent pressure you can apply is ZERO.

YAY

My old AR coach told me to forget scoring the target.
Learn to shoot tighter groups, one ring at a time. The scores will follow as the group tightens.

That makes it easier for a weekend shooter like me.

Yeah, I rarely shoot for score. I use my SCATT a lot with no pellets and in practice mode so I can't keep score and instead focus on what I need to focus on.
