AP20 trigger compared to others.
I’m just curious. How is the AP20 trigger compared to higher quality air pistols? Mechanical triggers of course. Has anyone here compared the hammerli to others?
Re: AP20 trigger compared to others.
The team I help coach has 26 AP20's. When we first got them, I test fired all of them and measured their velocities to establish a baseline in case something went south later on. They have a perfectly acceptable trigger. I've shot Morinis & Steyrs extensively, and there was nothing in the least bit objectionable to the trigger feel compared to the more expensive pistols. I also made no attempt to adjust the the triggers, which have quite a range for height & length of pull.
Given that they sell the "Pro" version for a lot more money, I don't think they cut corners on the trigger mechanism. Mostly what you are missing in the non-Pro version is the cylinders with gauges & a much fancier (but less universal) grip.

Re: AP20 trigger compared to others.
We have a shooter at out club "pellet night" who has an AP20 (not the pro version) and he has his set up very well. That was one of the first real AP's I had ever shot - and it was amazing. He also has the cylinder adapter, and a custom grip - so it's actually hard to tell the difference (to the novice).
Not sure I even have my K12 set up quite as good as his - but it's close and I'm getting use to it. Good luck !
