Im interested in learning how to perfectly mount a tuner on a barrel. Im interested in the Uptagrafft and what errors to avoid. Any of you with experience in this field?

Highly recommend this tuner mate: http://www.beesafeusa.com/
you mount it according to the instructions...
you'll need an EXACT measurement of the muzzle end of your barrel and the barrel MUST be straight for about the last seven centimeters (in other words - no taper).
btw: go to youtube.com and you'll find numerous videos on tuners and adjustments....

Hammer to shape, file to fit, paint to match...

Re: How to best mount a tuner?
Where should the tuner be mounted relative to the muzzle and why? I've always mounted mine to not contact the muzzle, but I've heard they should contact the muzzle. What's the best way and why?
Re: How to best mount a tuner?
Eric has written instructions for his tube/tuner here:http://www.uptagrafftllc.com/instructions-1.html
The instructions seem pretty standard, with the tube flush with the muzzle. The tuner (the concentric weight) will sit ahead of the muzzle on the Upta design. I think the Starik is closer to the muzzle, but just because the clamp is part of the tube rather than a separate piece

Follow the Upta directions and you can’t go wrong. Take your time leveling the tuner. Time spent now will save time and frustrations later. The tuner should butt up to the barrel. Leave a gap between the tuner and the collar to help assure the tuner is up against the barrel.
