Switch hands

Can anyone who has some shooting experience explain to me how can I switch hands? Like a procedure one can follow, or a time table? I am a leftie on rifle, rightie on pistol. Should I just switch and then use one of those fancy Mec thing that allows me to continue using my left eye? Or it will simply take a very long time to adjust from leftie to rightie? Sorry, I am kind of stupid when it comes to a lot of the topics here. Consider me being ignorant. My right eye is completely useless. So on pistol I shoot cross eye.
