Decent chronograph

Can please somebody recommend a decent chronograph? I tried Caldwell Ballistic Precision, but it did not register pellets at all (not sure whether it was a bad item or it does not work under LED lighting), had to return it.
[edit] Found one review saying "Works very well in outdoor light even without good weather, unusable indoors except when using the led lighting kit", and the kit seems to be discontinued.

I've been very happy with the convenience of the Combro chronograph:

https://www.combro.com/

There are two caveats:

1) It is designed for air rifles primarily, and the mounting system doesn't work well with many air pistols. I've designed 3D printed adapters that work with quite a range of air pistols, and I would be happy to share the files.

2) The manufacturer appears to be out of stock. There's no indication of when they might have more. There are some in various dealer inventories scattered around the globe. Nikkonos in Canada lists two in stock: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373624355840?h ... SwhPJg0iny. Lots of other places list them as either discontinued or unavailable.

Since you only mentioned pellets, I'll recommend the Air Chrony,
compact, well built, works well indoor, and suitable for pistol or rifle.

Hope this helps

Here's a suggestion from up in the cheap seats:

The $30 "Aikeec" "precision ballistic chronograph" available on Amazon.

By mistake, I ordered two of them. I kept both of them, to see if they remain consistent with each other. They have. They also seem consistent over time. I don't use the clamps.

Caveat emptor but they work for me.

I use a low end Caldwell chronograph for pellets, but indoors I have it set up with two Harbor Freight LED flashlights over the sunscreens. The issue most chronys have indoors is with 60 hz light flicker. Most cheap household LED bulbs do have some flicker. The flashlights are battery DC powered, so no flicker. The chrony registers every shot. So that is one possible cheap solution.

Can't read the name in the photo. What is it, where did you buy it, and what did it cost?

They're available on Amazon/eBay. Generic Chinese unit which measures in metres per second. A lot of us in the UK have these and the price originally was around $25 but lately seem to be around $35

Really can't fault them
