Mevo golf launch monitor as pellet chronograph?

Post by seamaster »

Any of you golfers with Mevo golf ball launch monitors?

It is a Doppler.

I think it might just work for both golf balls, and at near distance, as a pellet chronograph.

Might work wonders for golfers and shooters.

Hard to say. The "radar cross section" (how much radar bounces back off it) of a golf ball may be a lot larger that a pellet, which means the golf version could be less sensitive & might not pick up a pellet.

Unless you are also a golfer, for that kind of money you can get a Labradar that is designed as a bullet chronograph. If all you want is pellet velocity, there are a lot of cheaper options.
