Assuming the Winter air pistol matches are scheduled for this December at Camp Perry, can someone clarify whether competitors to compete must have completed either or both Safe Sport and Background checks as offered to USA Shooting members on the USA Shooting web site in the member's area? I've sent an inquiry to USA Shooting via email, but with the pandemic the response time lags a bit.
Thanks.

That's always been quite clear as to the Olympic Center. Thanks for confirming as to Camp Perry. I got an email from USA Shooting late yesterday with essentially the same information.rec4309 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 7:05 am If Winter Air is moved back to the OPTC you will need them.

Re: Camp Perry USA Shooting Requirements
I did the Safe Sport Core Training online through USA Shooting. It took about an hour or so to go through. Not all that difficult. I say that as a semi-retired attorney who has worked as an educator for the past 25 years. It may take some folks a bit longer to work through. It is a good basic course, IMO.
If any of you work with young shooters at your local club/range, I highly recommend taking this course for a) the information contained and b) as a legal vaccination (could not resist) to keep one clear of difficulties dealing with youth.
