Question about adding front weight to the Anschutz 5430

Post by slmorrison »

Any suggestions on the best way to mount weight on the front of the Anschutz 5430 smallbore? The company does not make anything yet for easy mounting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Anschutz make a weight that clamps around a 22mm dia barrel. https://ahg.anschuetz-sport.com/index.p ... &sprache=1 If the 54.30 is the same diameter as a 1907, not 24mm like a 1913, or 23mm like the F27, the factory weight is an option. Otherwise Centra, Tec-Hro and others make weights. You should get some ideas here: https://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/S ... ights.html

If you want weight beyond the muzzle, a machinist could make a sleeve-like weight that slips over the factory extension tube.

I use these on my 1918 Precise stock and I'm very satisfied: http://jga.anschuetz-sport.com/index.ph ... hoerID=889
