fwb 2800w

Post by crankythunder »

thinking about purchasing a FWB 2800W from Champions Choice.

Fondled one and it was good in the hands.

Really good.

Anybody have any experience? Recommendations? Concerns?

I too fondled one recently. Neat action, but lots of little parts that look like they'll break through normal service or improper maintenance. The owner loved it... My dad was considering a FWB 2800 or a KK500. I recommended the KK500 after handling both. I think the KK500 will be better suited for my father's limited mechanical aptitude.

I too have been thinking about a 2800W, but have not been able to handle one. I absolutely love my 800W air rifle and hope the smallbore version would feel similar. Have to make sure my job survives Covid before I can make the purchase, though.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone, who has owned and possibly competed with one of these, would write up a review? I am really curious how the mid-barrel tuner works in practice and, of course, the loading port/bolt too.
