Walther LP200 air pistol - Pressure Regulator

Post by Bernardo »

I have bought an used LP200 pcp pistol, but it only shoots around 560 fps with 8.2 gr RWS pellets. I took the regulator off the pistol and disassembled the regulator. I found about eleven curved shims inside the regulator. They all stacked up like face to back to each other, but not against each other, like face to face. Could some one let me know how these shims are to be arranged in order that the velocity can be adjusted up to around 520 fps ?
BTW, the seller told me that the regulator had been adjusted a bit lower than the factory setting.

Any advice is much appreciated, thank you.

PS: I tried reorganizing the shims paired them up with the curved side face to face, having six pairs of them in such a way, but it didn't seem to increase more power.

Bernardo,

I know this is an old post. I am thinking that your regulator might be configured correctly. Don't you have a velocity adjusting screw that varies how much force is applied to the spring that opens your valve? More spring pressure opens the valve longer for more velocity as opposed to changing the regulator discs, within reason.
