history question

researching for an article, I have come up with two unknowns:
- when was the 25m box (300 x 150 x 50mm) introduced?
- when was the Wather OSP first introduced? (predates the box)
Any help?

IIRC, the OSP was introduced for the 1964 Olympic Games.
