Ankle locking boots

People in the 1980’s used to shoot with ankle locking boots/shoes .

They are outlawed now.

Do those shoes work?

If they do work, should we make a conscious effort to lock the ankles, just like we make a conscious effort to lock the wrist ?

Interesting.

I only recently came to the realization that, in AP, the movement of the sights on the target
can be attributed to movements in : 1) the shooting arm and wrist, and/or 2) movement of the
head. Once the sights are properly aligned if only your head moves then you'll score well.
I now know why it is possible to get a good shot even if your sight picture is off, your arm
was properly aligned. Hope I explained this sufficiently. Comments ?
