Where do you practice? / Let's see your at home range.

So, where do you all practice? For me it's outdoors, another reason I haven't shot for over 6 months. We don't have a basement so this year I'm going to try and set up an indoor space. I have a clear 30' path from my office to the living room couch. 33' if the wife isn't home & I move the couch. :-)

Half the times at the range and the other half at home dry firing https://twitter.com/olympicpistol/statu ... 83810?s=09. I've just bought a SCATT and it is a welcome novelty.

My main club is La Défense in Brussels http://ladefense.eu/. Most of my time is spent at the 10m range with air pistols, but I also train at 25m and do some fun shooting.

I also train at CCAT in Amay https://www.ccat-asbl.be/ mainly 10m AP & 50m FP.

LOL, apparently the Ikea stool is a must in every home range? :-)

Beside my workshop at the bottom of my garden - Don't be concerned, there's nothing to worry about on the other side of the fence.

Second the question. Trying to get my own setup similar to that. What scope, camera, webcam app?

It appears to be one of these scopes: https://www.amazon.com/OpSwiss-Spotting ... B00B1SFNHU (probably sold under a range of names), combined with some sort of digital imager added on.

It's actually very easy and cheap to do. If you're thinking of doing it for 10m then any zoom scope that will focus down to 10m and power in the 10-15 X range. The camera is a cheap $10 USB job, (must be able to manually focus) and an android tablet or phone that supports OTG.

You will also need an OTG cable to convert the standard USB connector on the camera to the mini USB on the phone/tablet.

I really don't know anything about Mac/Ipad stuff but I don't think they lend themselves to this type of thing easily.

There are several free Apps that support USB cameras on phones, this is the one I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... bcamerapro
camera:

OTG cable:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-Male ... Swe9VcHLYc

The adapter, between the camera and scope is 3d printed to fit, depending on the scope and camera. If no 3d printing facilities available then plastic plumbing fittings, cardboard tubes etc.

This is another set-up with another compact scope:

and at 50M:

Just ordered a T-mount to M12 adapter for my scope.
Seemingly many USB webcams have M12 lenses. And my Celestron scope came with the T-mount ring.

So now I'm looking for a M12 lens camera...

Unfortunately not - there's so many possible combination with different eye piece diametres and different cameras you will need to design a custom adapter.

This is a camera I often use - if you take it apart and remove the silver plastic part round the lens there's a standard 12mm lens fitted.

Are you running free pistol matches at Metcalf?

We need more pistol matches in Northern California. Too many of our venues have closed down.

Matches of one :-)
I have never seen anybody else shooting FP there and all the people look at me funny for the strange pistol.
Love the places though, great staff.

My scope came with a T-mount adapter. The rubber bit on the eyepiece of the scope (Celestron Regal) unscrews, and the adapter ring screws on.
Then I bought a T-mount to S-mount (12MM) adapter.
https://www.telescopeadapters.com/misc- ... -more.html
And I got a OTG USB cable with a power cable so the tablet and camera can be powered by external battery or wall-wart.

I overpaid for a cheap webcam because it had a removeable lens. Initial trials showed that the adapter fit, but when I finally found a webcam app that would display an image the scope focus bottomed out before I had a clear image.
Will probably order one of the ones you linked to to try that as well. Seems they're 16MP if advertising the still picture resolution, 5MP if advertising the software boosted video resolution, of 2MP if advertising the native video resolution. Also can be as cheap as 2$US it seems.

After looking at cameras on a chip, was wondering if there wasn't a market for a highend camera like that mounted in a T-Mount housing.

I have been looking at the possibility of a cheap wireless, battery powered webcam that can be placed close to the target (no scope).
With many drones being available, I think there should be on the market a camera module + stand alone monitor that could be used for this, but so far no luck.

If you have an old iPhone and have another iPhone, you can just face time both.

I have an iPhone 4, and I used it to pick up target and facetime with my personal iPhone. Works pretty well. iPhone camera is more than sharp enough for the target.

You should put together some matches. There's a contingent of FP shooters on the Peninsula.
