I recently picked up a Daisy 722, years ago I shot some decent scores with a Daisy 747. I was wondering if anyone had done pellet testing with there 722? I am trying to wring out max accuracy, and like clean cut holes.
I did a search and in .22 cal found RWS hobby, Meisterkugeln, and JSP match all in a true wadcutter flat nose design. Are there others or better yet what does your 722 like? -Ben

Only you will be able to tell which pellet your pistol likes best, but for a little head start look at the ones that are similar to the ones you had luck with in your 747, meaning you probably can pass on the ones that come in a little milk carton. The same brand wadcutter that worked in .177, but in .22 would be my first look, it they're avaialble. These pistols are very low powered, about 350 fps, so lean towards lighter pellets, but again, do your own testing.
As for clean holes, wadcutters for sure, but the paper of the target is possibly an even bigger factor. Look for targets printed on Kruger paper, there are some listed on ebay. Whatever it is about that paper, it cuts cleaner holes with lower velocity projectiles, all other things being equal.
