Rover - Match Winner - Two Years Running

Post by fc60 »

Greetings,

Shot a Tournament at the Wildlife Committee of Washington, located at Kenmore, Washington, USA.

In the Trophy cabinet is a Plaque honoring the victors of the annual Air Pistol League.

Lo and behold, Rover won in 1989 and 1990!!!

Cheers,

Dave

I didn't think there were any air pistol leagues in 1889 and 1890.

Greetings,

A home repaired air cylinder burst, I believe, and the 1889 and 1890 records were destroyed.

Rover, fortunately, was not seriously injured.

Cheers,

Dave

Yeah, those were fun days. I have a little anecdote that you may wish to take to heart.

I won a pretty big match at Blaine, up on the border.

One of the Canadian shooters approached me after the match and asked if he could examine my targets.

After closely examining each of the sixty cards, he said:

"You really didn't shoot that well. You just didn't fuck up."

Greetings "Rover",

Ah yes, shooting at Custer with the Canadiens...

An experience every USA shooter should embrace.

The wife and I have many fond memories of shooting International at Custer Sportsman's Club.

I suspect this is the club you refer to? Matches run by John and Vivian?

Do you remember the "Shoot for Silver" matches they hosted?

Laughing Bear made in home safe and sound. Thanks for keeping an eye on him.

Cheers,

Dave

That would be enough to make me happy. All that hard work squeezing out tens instead of nines evaporates in a flash with one lapse.

Sometimes that's all you need, let the other person make the mistakes.
