Yale Air Pistol Team

Post by holmqer »

The CT State AP Championship is December 9 and in years past, the Yale Team has been a regular participant.

This year we have not heard from Yale, does anyone have contact information for them?

I know they lost their practice venue, but we never heard from them afterwards and no response to the emails that the match director has.

I know the MIT team has tried to contact them a number of times, largely unsuccessfully. Yale used to compete regularly against MIT, Coast Guard & Army.

I think they also lost their coach a while back.

Current contact information is here under "Pistol": https://sportsandrecreation.yale.edu/cl ... -directory

Last I heard a few months back, they were trying to work something out with one of the southern CT commercial ranges for practice time. Not sure if they were successful.

Huh.

25+ years following and/or participating in collegiate pistol, including 4 years in VA and one in MA, and I never knew that Yale had a pistol team.

That's how you keep a secret, folks.

Yale Pistol looks at Skull and Bones and dismissively pats them on the head.

It's a shame to see another collegiate marksmanship program fade into the woodwork ...
