Team Match
The top for individual scores from each team will count as the clubs team score. An individual may fire more than one discipline each week and that person’s top score can be used for the team score, however only one score may be used.

Handicap score, if a team has fewer than four shooters then a team will automatically receive a score for one additional shooter, this score will be tabulated by averaging the top three shooters and then multiply that score by 75%. This handicap is good for one additional shooter only, the score does not count towards any individual shooter, it shall only county towards the team result for that week and the team’s season total. For example if the top shooters have an average of 390 you would multiply by 75% for a 292 score added to the team result.

Match results will be reported to team captains/contacts and individual unaffiliated competitors weekly. Via e-mail and can be seen directly at http://VTWinter.postalleague.com, individual shooters make sure the league has your e-mail address.

To be eligible for final end of the season ranking a shooter must fire in a minimum of
50% of the league matches.
.
Bracket Match
4-P Winners will be chosen from each group of 4 shooters who will be ranked
into mini-match groups according to their weekly aggregate averages. If,
after dividing the shooter list by 4, if only 2 competitors are left, those persons
will be merged with the next mini-group. Ties will be broken by position (Standing
then Kneeling then Sitting, and then Prone Score).

Prone Winners, will be chosen from each group of 4 shooters who will be ranked
into mini-match groups according to their weekly aggregate averages. If,
after dividing the shooter list by 4, if only 2 competitors or less are left in a bracket, those
shooters will be merged with the next mini-group.
Ties will be broken by the number of tens. Please note when scoring “Tens” on the USA-50
target the ten ring “dot” must be covered by the shot. The plug will cover the dot.

be ranked into mini-match groups according to their weekly aggregate averages. If,

Hello League Shooters and Team Managers;

We are now just less than two months away from the start of the 2019 Season. Please begin the process of organizing your team and starting to get everyone registered. You can always delete individuals that you have not paid for, and you can add addition shooters at any time.

When setting up your team and registering your shooters please remember to actually enter your team in the match. This is an additional step that many managers forget to do. If you have just one team from your club once you enter your team all of your members should be automatically added to that team. If you have more than one team you need to use the drop down boxes under the manage team tab to actually assign each shooter to the team you want them on. These teams can be adjusted up to when the league officially starts. If you have a large club, consider entering more that one team as its a fun way to keep everyone involved. To know if you set up your team properly; click on the participants tab and see if you shooters are listed as part of a team. Your team should also be listed as participating, otherwise you forgot a step.

Cost to participate this year is just $6 that is less than last year. This year you can compete in four ways, 4-P, prone, standing Air or sporter rifle, feel free to mix and max your team. As always no doctors note is needed to shoot under handicap rules. Feel free to start shooting scores at any time, however you can not enter them until January 1st.

Visit our facebook page and like us, then send me your photos so we can share them with the rest of the league.

Please share this information with anyone or any club that might be interested.

If you need any assistance or have any question feel free to call, e-mail or text me.

Looking forward to a great season

Hello League Shooters and Team Captains;

We are now just one month away from the start of the 2019 league season. First scores are due to be entered by Saturday January 12, 2019, scores can be entered starting January 1st, 2019.

At this time we have 22 teams registered and 130 shooters, I know of several teams that have committed to shoot but have not started the process yet. Now is the time to log in and register yourself to shoot or if you are at team manager, log in Register your Team for the match and then register your individual shooters to compete. If you are entering multiple teams or have multiple teams from various seasons as part of your club, please be sure to assign your shooters to their specific team. Several teams have forgotten to actual register their team to shoot the match. So register your team and register your individual shooters. Payment is required ($6.00) for each shooter prior to being able to enter scores for that shooter. You can delete shooters anytime prior to paying for them and of course you can adjust your team assignments up to the start of the season (January 1st).

Please go to www.National.RifleLeague.com and start the process. At least register your team and perhaps sign up yourself to shoot. This way we know your password works and that things are working on your end. When registering your shooters please fill in the date of birth section (at least get the year close to being correct) especially for our seniors and juniors.

As we get closer I will send out our Division and Conference assignments. I am hoping to have 6 Divisions and 2 Conferences again this season. We have added another discipline, sporter rifle, its shot on the same targets as our four position group, its just that the shooters are now separated out to allow everyone to know who is shooting sporter rifle and who are top shooters are. We will once again have our weekly Division All-stars and Conference Top Shots for each discipline. We will recognize our top overall, Senior and Junior shooters.

New for 2019, my lovely daughter Betsy is working on a system where I can upload the weekly reports to the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club website. This way you can see all the weekly reports from this season in one spot. You would go to www.PlattsburghRodandGun.com then click on the rifle link and look for some sort of link for National Rifle League Reports.

Weeks 6 & 10 will again be our Bracket match weeks for both our teams and individuals.

Only week 10 targets need to be sent in for verification.

The league has a facebook page, please look us up and like us. send me photos of your club so that I can post them.

Attached is a copy of the 2019 rules and information, feel free to pass it along to other clubs.

Please do me a favor and start the process now, you can always add or drop shooters later, every year we have several teams wait until the week before to start to register and its a bit of a handful to get everyone organized. Feel free to send me a e-mail, text or call me if you have questions or need assistance.

Looking forward to a great season, see you all at the range.
