I have a Steyr 300M CISM Rifle that I would like to fit with a replacement scope rail.
The problem is that the threads for mounting are 4mm fine pitch - M4x0.5
These are extremely hard to purchase here in the USA.
Any help from international forum members would be appreciated.

Have you tried contacting Steyr direct? Don't now if you don't ask?

Although the service guys will be in Korea at the mo.

That would be Steyr Sport. The OP needs to contact Steyr Mannlicher. I once had a doubt with my new Steyr M9 A1 pistol and they answered back within a few hours!

Steyr only has short slotted screws for the 10mm rail. I want to install a Picatinny rail. Socket head cap screws about 12mm long would be great.
I have found a few sites that show this screw as a metric standard but no one in the US stocks them.

I will check my metric guy tomorrow. He is an old smallbore guy and sold me a lifetime supply of FWB trigger pinch screws for 4 dollars.....

McMaster.com has them. For $5 you get a box of 50.
