Walther LP400 grip sizes

Post by jens_ms »

I have pretty much decided to get myself a Hammerli AP20 pro, to get some home training done for my rimfire shooting.

I just cant find any info on grip sizes, even Walther were not able to give me a size chart (they said one would be ready sometime in August though). My hand is 97mm wide, so I was thinking that I need a large grip, but I remember reading that walther grips are a bit small?

Any input is greatly appreciated

I don't know how consistent they are between pistol types/vintages, but I have info that a Walther GSP "Large" is ~ 95 mm. If that is in the middle of the adjustment range, that should fit you just fine.

My hand is 92mm and the Medium on my AP20 Pro fits me well with more width available on palm shelf if needed. The large should be fine for you.

My hand is 98mm wide and the large size fits, there is also an extra large grip I tried at the walther table at an event. If I had the option I would have gone with the extra large given the option.

Thanks

I forgot to mention that the large requires me to set it at the maximum extension in order to fit.
