Newbe scoring question

Post by Bmwz3coupe »

Does hitting the x ring score any points or just that you hit it but no points added to your score?

In International style shooting there is no X ring.

In NRA shooting there is no additional score, but the number of Xs is used to break ties (e.g. 396-30x beats 396-29x, but 396-29x beats 395-32x).

In international (ISSF) style shooting there most definitely is an X ring, normally called an "Inner 10".

It is not worth any extra points but is used for tie-breaking.
