Today I tried out a really cool training aid from www.mantisx.com, and it's only $150. A lot less than a SCATT or similar system. If you're in Oregon, Neal Caloia at Gun Pro is stocking the item. You do have to have your own IPad, smart phone, etc. Although the company only has a few adapters to fit handguns with accessory rails, they are making others. But it wouldn't be too hard to mount it on your barrel with some tape. There isn't enough room here to describe all that it does, but for only $150 you can get some really good training and feedback on your hold and trigger control as well as info on what happened before the shot broke as well as your follow thru.
Cheers,
Roddy

Re: Cool New training Aid
Interesting. But seems to have no camera or target detection.
I guess motion detection is getting that precise. Might give other SCATT and training competitors a run too.
Is there anywhere with a good list of available training systems, evaluations, and comparisons?
