Range Design

Anyone have any good links on range design requirements for ISSF target shooting?
Or links to descriptions and layouts of existing training facilities?
And information on number of lanes for how many members?

Found a great resource from the Canadian RCMP that covers the basic requirements as far as they are concerned.

The indoor facilities at my club are seriously cramped, and I'm just trying to dream and piece together what would be required to put together a decent range and club.

Ultimately, it is my belief that the various shooting federations should be stepping up to help design standard ranges and support their construction to promote the sport.

The NRA seems to have nothing about design standards on their website at the links provided. They do list design services as something they offer though.

Did find some interesting information on the NSSF website.

And USA Shooting has some plans available on-line for indoor and outdoor.

The USA shooting "guides" are nice plans, but don't seem to have nay accompanying documentation to discuss design considerations and standards met by the plans. The general notes do say "an example of ISSF dimensionally approved facilities"

Have you tried looking at the ISSF rules (section 6)?

There isn't really a standard range design there, but obviusly lots of information about the requirements. This information will probably have been replicated on other sites.
