San Diego air pistol venues

I've run across several posts asking for information for air pistol events in San Diego. Though I escaped California long ago, I do occasionally check-in on some of my old haunts and found two potential venues that might be worth investigating if there's anyone still interested in getting an air pistol competition community established in San Diego.
Firstly, I found a post (http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/th ... 8County%29) indicating that there are "... 10 meter informal matches indoors ..." at the San Diego Police Pistol Range. When I left San Diego (1991) there were NRA matches (registered matches, as I recall) being held in the clubhouse on a monthly basis. Perhaps they've survived, absent the NRA sanction, to this day. It wouldn't take much paperwork to have them NRA sanctioned. (I'm unfamiliar with the USAS paperwork as I've only run NRA matches).
Secondly, the Escondido Fish and Game Association has a person appointed as the air pistol shoot chair (http://www.escondidofishandgame.com/ran ... tml#chairs). Presumably if they have an air pistol shoot chair they have some sort of event going on there, though apparently it is also unsanctioned (or at least I can't find it on either the NRA or USAS coming events lists). The Escondido F&GA is to the east of Escondido (north county) just off the east end of Lake Wohlford.
I hope that there's still an interest in getting AP competition back into San Diego. We need to expand the sport as much as possible.
P.S. If any of you shoot at the San Diego Police Pistol Range, I would like to pass on information regarding deed restrictions on the facility that REQUIRE civilian access to the range. When I lived in San Diego there were occasional attempts to close the range to civilians, the most serious of which were stopped by the discovery of this deed restriction. I don't want that information to be forgotten should the threat of range closure ever return. Please touch base with me if you know whom I should contact to communicate this information.
