Hello,

This is my first post here.
I started shooting again in the last 6 months and remembered i have an old scatt system at home that i never installed.
I setup everything and downloaded software but i keep getting the error device not found when starting a new practice.

This is an old system. It doesn't use the USB either.

Maybe i have the wrong software.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Philip

Make sure you have the drivers installed. Go to
http://www.scatt.com/downloads/70/downloads/
and download and install both the software and drivers.

1. Did you adjusted and calibrated your Optical sensor by pressing F2 ?
2. At what distance you are shooting at your target ? (Distance between Scatt and Optical Sensor) ?

Failed program ... it happens, erase what you have and try to install it again

or ask here

Yes i calibrated by pressing f2, but i tried at 3 meters and 5 meters but the same result.
The tracing seems to be really off.

Thank you very much for your time and hope we can solve this issue.

Are you sure your SCATT actually supports so short distances? I remember vaguely that old devices required longer ranges. Check the manual, to make sure.

On the old Scatt serial port units there was a special target frame for 5m.

The normal frame was "questionable" below about 8m.

If you can't find the necessary distance, try a mirror with the target beside you. I did this for a while with my Rika.
