STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
I know the Steyr is one of the best 10 meter pistols in the world. My question is when exceeding your guns lower pressure limit do flyers occur or do pellets go more often in a certain direction. Do they stay centered but drop only or off to one side? Thanks Ron
Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
They just start to fall in my LP10 Long w/ new style brake.
Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
What would be the lowest you would shoot on the gauge? Is it good all through the green? Thanks RonAndre wrote:They just start to fall in my LP10 Long w/ new style brake.

Starts about the absorber but goes on to air consumption and there's a pic of a group from machine rest with an emptying cylinder.

Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
Steyr changed the design of their cylinder gauges at some point:
Based on the old cylinders & feedback from other Steyr shooters, 80 bar is about as far down as you want to go on the new ones. That is consistent with my experience with Morinis as well.

Yeah, jteam, I remember that thread. It was hilarious. Maybe we'll have as much fun with this one.

Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
What does it mean? Can you shoot tens also with 40 bars? Or is it simply cheating?darticus wrote:Thanks for the input. RonGwhite wrote:Steyr changed the design of their cylinder gauges at some point:

Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
It's not cheating, but you'll only shoot tens if you can figure out how much to adjust the elevation of your sights between every shot.therider wrote: What does it mean? Can you shoot tens also with 40 bars? Or is it simply cheating?

Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
Hi,
A while ago I sent my LP10 in for a service with Harry Preston and when it came back there was a statement that the regulator had been set up from 70Bar. I have found that I haven't noticed any drop off on pellet to that pressure. For practice I may shoot down to 60Bar and I haven't really noticed any drop of pellet impact either. Hope this helps.

ALL very helpful! Thanks for all your input. Ron
Re: STEYR LP 10 QUESTION
However if you make an ammunition test, you will see huge worsening of the grouping much before you reach 70bars,,,, but this has been discussed in length in here.SarahJ wrote:Hi,
