Optometrist in Southern Colorado

Post by NMC_EXP »

I'm 60 miles from Colorado Springs. Seems there ought to be an optometrist familiar with the needs of rifleman in this area.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Sorry, not a direct answer, but I have a document on my site that was written by an eye doctor who shoots pistol. Its intended purpose is to familiarize non-shooting eye care professionals with the needs of pistol shooters. I'm not sure how applicable it may be for rifle shooting, but you might like to take a look. You can see the web page at:

BULLSEYE SHOOTERS' GUIDE FOR THE EYECARE PROFESSIONAL

Or, download the .pdf directly from:

Why not call the OTC and ask?

If you're ever in Phoenix, I can recommend Copper State Optical. The guy is a shooter. I know myself and John Zurek use him.

I go to Thomas Wilson, Pine Creek Vision Clinic (719-594-2020) in Colorado Springs every year when I come in to shoot. Best shooter-friendly eye doctor I've ever seen. Been going to Dr. Wilson for about 15 years now.

If you email me your regular distance prescription, I can just do the optical math to shift your focal point for shooting. In my experience, most doctors do not understand the needs of a shooter - surprisingly, photographers get it right away.

I can also make lenses for you.
