Hello all,
I am looking to get into biathlon and would like to make an initial rifle purchase, but I know that I cannot afford the newer 1827 Fortner rifles. I've seen the older 1827 bolt action rifles and figured that would be a good place to start, especially since I love anschutz rifles and kind of like the vintage feel of the older ones, but the problem is I am having extreme difficulty finding any for sale. I saw one briefly for sale in Canada, but it got snapped up before I could work out how to get through the Canadian red tape for rifle transfers. Would any of you happen to know where I could find one of these rifles? Any direction you could point me in would be much appreciated.

Check all the biathlon club websites, most have a for sale column. Do a Google search, there aren't that many in the US. Also check Altius biathlon website. Unfortunately most guns get sold to another club member, before they hit the classifieds.
