Benelli mp90 .32 extractor issue

Hi there.

Just bought myself an almost new benelli MP90 in caliber .32.

There is just one issue. After three shots, the pistol threw out the extractor. I refitted it, and it happened again after a couple of shots. Then i made the extractor spring just a bit longer by pulling it, and this seems to have helped.

I knew already before bying the gun, that there was some issues with the extractor, but didnt knew a solution for it.
I will try to buy a new spring, and replace it.

I also read about another, which took a ball from a bearing and dropped in the slide for the spring, to give the spring more tension (which give the same result as pulling the spring).

Are there other workarounds for this issue?
Please let me know, as the pistol is otherwise perfect :)

If it was me I would purchase a new factory extractor and spring. This could result in your your problem being solved.

From the exploded diagram & parts list, the extractor parts are the same between the .32 & .22. When you reassemble things, you need to make sure the small flat on the front of the extractor "stop pin" is rotated in the right position. The flat is supposed to fit over the bump on the back of the extractor to lock it in place. If the pin is installed backwards, or rotated out of position, it won't hold the extractor in place securely. If someone lost the original and replaced the pin with a straight one, you could also have a problem.

I help coach a team with over twenty Benelli MP90/95's in .22, and I've never seen a loose extractor. In fact, they can be a real pain in the neck to remove & replace.

For me, I think I will have it to be fully replace by the company.
