Hi guys I'm after some info regarding "accepted " rifles to shoot 10m I know anschultz walther feinwerkbau are all common place at comps.
However being fairly new to 10m I currently have a 12ftlb air arms ev2 that I used for field target
I have a friend that can reduce power to 5.5ftlbs and obviously I have diopter&fore sight ready .
Will this rifle be accepted at competitions or do I have to shoot an anschultz walther steyr or feinwerkbau ?

Get the rulebook and check the physical dimensions .... if it passes then you're OK
(You're probably OK)

You two biggest problems are likely to be that the rifle may not actually work very well at those velocities. The rifle was after all designed to run at around 780 fps with a domed pellet, not 575 with a wadcutter.
Your other issue if taking it to any 10m clubs/comps I would carry a chrono so that you can show that the power has been reduced.

Steve, its an interesting experiment and for what its worth, Air Arms made a target version several years ago as a project.
It might help if you contact AirArms about you project and ask their advice.
I have been lobbying several British airgun makers for a long time to market a truly up to date state of the art match air rifle, but they don't see any money in it.
If you can chrono the rifle and adjust the velocity down to about 170/175 M/sec with out losing the one hole grouping with match grade pellets, then you are on your way. Remember the 5.5-Kg weight limit and check the dimensions with the ISSF rule book.

Okay guys thanks for the replies , I'm probably better off buying a used walther , p70 or steyr but tbh hardly and come up for sale in uk or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places...
