VT Winter Postal League Week 5 Results

We had a very close race between the top three teams this week. Congratulations to Whitehall; our Week 5 Champions. They out-shot Plattsburgh by just one point (1579-1578), to take first place. Whitehall was led by Pete Steffan who Shot a 399, he was the league’s top shooter this week. Plattsburgh Shot a club record, led by Peter Visconti(397) and Paul Deslierres (397). But Plattsburgh was one point shy of first and just one point ahead of Albion (1577) for, their first, second place finish. Albion was led by Joe Shrader, (398) who had the second highest league score this week. Quaker Hill found themselves in fourth place this week for the first time, just ahead of Jamestown. Quaker Hill was led by Eric Sloan, who shot a season high 397, the third highest score this week. For the fun of it I have figured out the Win-Loss record for each team, however standings are based on total points.
Once again, our Division Leaders remain the same with Whitehall in the East and AIbion in the West. In All-Star Action, the East outshot the West this week 1590 to 1580. So at this point it is East 4 West 1 (East 7927-West 7908).
The league average is a 363.24 for our 86 4-P shooters, and a 302.59 for our 27 prone shooters. We have had two individuals clean Standing, and our top score so far is a 399, fired by Pete Steffan of Whitehall. Another way of looking at how stiff the competition this year, among our top shooters; 15 shooters fired a 395 or better this week, last year’s top average. The season’s highest prone score was a 397 fired by three individuals. Paul Deslierres, of Plattsburgh, had the top prone score this week with a 397. The league’s Top average this year belongs to Joe Shrader with a 396.40. There is just 1.40 points separating 1-6th place.
