Hi guys, I shoot a CZ TAU 7 match, and love it. does anyone have any experience with the TAU MK8? I will be looking to upgrade in the future but can find much reference to it, thanks

Do a search on MK8: several threads going back over 5 years. The most telling aspect is the near-total lack of history with this model. If you're a gambler, there is one listed in the For Sale forum.

I own 1 as I am sorta a Tau collector.
Biggest downside is, that I had to shim the frontsight to get the sights in range. Dunno wether all LP8's have this, or mine justhas an issue.
Besides that, its a nice pistol, thats nice to shoot.
Grip is morini like in shape, nice to hold.
Its a frontheavy pistol though.
When you leave the cilinder on, it'll empty itself. When you screw it off, it'll hold air far better but will empty itself over time as well.
Its a nice 300 bar system.

Availaility can be limited, I had to choose between L and S grip.
Dont have much shooting experience with it. As I said, I have it more for collecting.
Mine has the laminate blue grip, blue cilinder, its the fullsize version.

A compressed air cylinder that won't hold pressure on or off the pistol just about forever ought to be a serious deal breaker. Sorry, TAU-BRNO. Sorry, Bori at TGAG. But that's simply not acceptable.

My Aeron Spider has the same. According to the factory, it was designed that way.
My new pcp converted Steyr LP5 has the same, as does the Tau MK300.
So there are lots of pcp's that have this.
The CO2's are slowly loosing CO2 as well.

That's crazy. Like being told there's nothing wrong with your tire that has a slow leak - it was designed that way.

My Steyr Lp1-P is 25 years old. Last time I filled the cylinders with CO2 was three years ago, and guess what? They have ALL their CO2.

Don't take "they all leak" as any excuse.

I have had a Tau MK 8 for over a year now. It came with two cylinders. Neither one of them have shown any leakage. Even after sitting in my safe for months without use.
