Amount of Grip Pressure for Air Pistol

Need opinions on the amount of grip pressure applied when shooting Air Pistol. Have shot hardball all of my shooting career, and apparently grip way too hard. I have a good area of wobble, but the front sight moves around inside the rear sight, so hence, my trigger control is in the dumper
Nygord's Notes say "squeeze like you 're shaking the hand of a young girl". Any better suggestions?

Yes, dry fire.

Watch sight picture as you dry fire, and if it is rock solid - then your grip is just fine.

You are looking to produce a constant front to rear pressure, little or no side pressure - and no changes in pressure during shot release. Actual amount of pressure is immaterial. Think about a batch test vice - all side pressure and not front to rear. This is all wrong, except it doesn't change during shot release.... Just keep it consistent.

if you have perfect trigger control, your grip can be fairly relaxed. Most people find that a firmer grip helps to reduce unwanted motion from a less than perfect trigger squeeze. Many air pistols do have a small amount of recoil, and a firm grip should produce less deflection from that as well. However, you certainly shouldn't need a death grip.

You are only squeezing a 500g trigger, so the tension in the other fingers need to be similar.
Grip with a light hand shake pressure an try to feel similar tension across the whole hand.
Dry fire can help with this body/feel awareness.
