Junior models not allowed in ISSF competitions ?

Post by point177 »

Recently a target shooter who participates in national level 10mtr AR ISSF category here in India said that junior models of 10mtr air rifles like the FWB 700 Junior are not allowed in 10mtr AR ISSF and that is why they go for models like the FWB700 Universal, which is the most popular AR here.

Is this true ?

No that is not true. They must comply with the same rules as the senior rifles but there's no reason they cant be used as long as they are within the weight and dimension rules etc.

the only way it would not pass inspection is if the rifle had been adjusted beyond the limits specified in the rulebook.

Hi Manish
Not true, there is a max length for barrels not a minimum, and a max weight not a min. My wifes LG400 in a 300 Junior stock passed recently with the same EC staff as the Olympics. There are several Ladies at world level who use Junior stocks.
